MUMBAI DABBAWALLAS TO JOIN REPUBLIC DAY PARADE IN NEW DELHI

dabbawalaDabbawallas play a very crucial role in the life of Mumbaikars. They are the stomach fillers of working class citizens in Mumbai. Their work has been respected by every one. And now they have been given a golden opportunity to participate in the parade of 26th January at red fort in Delhi. Appreciating the work of tiffin box suppliers, Late Behram Contractor once said that, “If railways are the lifeline of the middle class working Mumbaities, then the dabbawallas are the soul of these Mumbaikars”. Every day these dabbawallas fill the stomachs of more than two lakh Mumbaikars. This year, with due respect to their profession and work, they have been given an opportunity to participate in the parade to be held on Republic Day. Chairman of Nutan Mumbai tiffin box suppliers Raghunath Medge along with 15 others have been at Red Fort in Delhi. While speaking to NMTV news, Medge gave more insight. Along with filling people’s stomach, Raghnath Medge believes that social service is the greatest service. The Secretary of Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Box suppliers, Gangaram Talekar too was happy to get the opportunity of representing their association in Delhi.
