MUMBAI JOINS WORLD WIDE CAMPAIGN AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS IN CHINA

A Human Rights Torch relay running across continents to focus the world’s attention on China’s human rights violations arrived in the city at St Xavier’s College Mumbai. A Human Rights Torch relay has arrived in India and was in Mumbai. The torch is designed to focus attention on China’s Human Rights violations, and garner support from countries across the globe. The agenda states that the 2008 Olympic Games should not become a public relations tool for the Chinese Communist Party’s brutal government. The activists walked from Nariman Point to Chowpatty. The activists practice Falun Gong meditation at the end of their walk. Falun Gong followers claim they are the most persecuted group in China. The Human Rights Torch Relay activists say they hope to raise awareness about the victims of China’s forced abortion and sterilisation programme to enforce its gruesome
