The Mumbai University at Kalina has come under the scanner for given away 7 acres of land to All India Tennis Association (AITA) free of cost. Allegations are also ripe against the examination manager of the university Vilas Shinde. Vasudha Dhumak reports. The Mumbai University at Kalina has a huge land under its banner where many courses and programs are run. However, recently the university came under the scanner for giving away a part of land, within the university premises. The land of 7 acres is said to be worth of crores of rupees but the university handed over the land to All India Tennis Association free of cost. Questions have been raised on this handing over of plot. A Professor at the university Gyaneshwar Shinde, spoke in this regard with NMTV News. AITA while has been given the land for free, membership is being collected for the tennis court from the players, he informed. And the controversy does not end here. Gyaneshwar Shinde also alleged that the University’s Examination manager, Vilas Shinde indulged in molestation.
