With annual festivals of colleges already starting in the city, Narsee Monjee College, Vile Parle too celebrated its annual festival called Drishti with utmost joy and vigor. We bring to you glimpses of this festival. Having established a niche for itself in the year 1999-2000, Drishti, the annual festival of Narsee Monjee College started with a bang in its 9th year. With its spectacular themes every year, this year the college selected a different and unique theme called Gothic, the Enigma of the 16th Century. Usually with the word Gothic comes to mind destruction, death and hatred however, the students of the college have a different viewpoint. The festival would be held till the 5th of February which includes many competitions related to business management, media, film-making, hotel management, cricket and music. On the 2nd of February, a DJ Nite would be held with performance by Hard Kaur. Apart from the design and look, the security and technical aspect was also looked into by the students. The first day of the festival began with the paradigm, the ultimate test of managerial abilities for the aspiring managers. The events saw immense participation of college students from round the city. We spoke with some of the participants about their experience. With the theme as Gothic, the annual festival, Dristi would be a remarkable and unforgettable experience promising pleasant surprises at each step.
