For the first time, Navi Mumbai police has launched a helpline for senior citizens, women and children. An initiative of Commissioner of Police Ahmed Javed, the lines were officially launched in a ceremony at the Navi Mumbai Police HQ at Belapur. Ever since the dynamic Ahmed Javed has taken over as the Commissioner of Police of Navi Mumbai, he has been bringing about significant steps to better the law and order situation in the city. After the patrolling drive, this time the Commissioner of Police has launched a helpline number for senior citizens, women and children. Three helpline numbers have been launched. The three helpline numbers will be known as Police helpline, Senior citizens, women and children helpline and the third will be traffic police helpline. The police helpline number is 7738363836. The second one for senior citizens, women and children is 1800-200-2122 and the traffic police helpline number id 7738393839. The helpline numbers are simple to remember and toll free as well. These numbers will be monitored every day. At the same time the numbers would advertised from all print and electronic medium for public awareness.
