The Navi Mumbai Police has commenced the police recruitment procedure in the city. Nearly 15000 candidates have filled the application form for 464 posts. CCTV cameras as well as a special squad have been stationed to monitor the procedures. Under the state government’s guidelines, police recruitment procedures have commenced across the state from March 8. Under this, even the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate has began recruitment for 464 police constables, under the leadership of DCP HQ N D Chauhan. The first day itself the department received 15000 applications. The recruitment process was carried smoothly with tight police security. The results of the candidates would be declared either on the website on through SMS. To maintain transparency in the procedure a special squad has also been stationed here.
