dcp-2With the finals of the India Australia match being played in Navi Mumbai, the Navi Mumbai Police has geared up for preparations to ensure law and order. Speaking during a press conference, DCP Zone 1, Ashok Dudhe informed that 1200 policemen would be deployed for the finals at D Y Patil Stadium. The biggest challenge for the department would be the traffic issue for which grounds like the Jijamata Udhyan, Medical campus and LP bridge have been identified. The visitors having gate no. 2 and 3 on their passes would have to park at the Yashwantrao Chauhan and Jijamata Udhyan. Those with gate numbers 4 and 5 would have to use the service road for parking. For visitors entering from gate numbers 5,6,7,8 will have to park on the D Y Patil medical campus ground, Tulsi Udyan, and below the Rajeev Gandhi Bridge. The road from the LP Bridge to Shiwaji Chowk and LP Bridge to Amra Marg has been declared has no vehicle zone. DCP Karad said eatries, food packets, water bottles, mobiles and cameras are strictly prohibited.
