All the government and administrative offices are bucking up to achieve their annual revenue target. However sitting comfortable is the Navi Mumbai RTO which has already achieved Rs 160 crores with a month to go to achieve their revenue target of Rs 178 crore. The Regional Transport Office is an important office of the government from where huge sums of revenue are collected every year. With the financial year ending, the Navi Mumbai RTO is concentrating in achieving their revenue target. Speaking to NMTV News, the Deputy RTO of Navi Mumbai, Sanjay Raut informed that the department had a revenue target of Rs 178 crore for the fiscal year 2010-11. The department has been successful in collecting revenue of Rs 160 crore. The RTO collects revenue through road tax, IMV fees, and fines. Navi Mumbai is a developing city and one of the reasons why the department was able to earm najor revenue from Road Tax. Sanjay Raut is confident that the department will be able to achieve its revenue target of Rs. 178 crore.
