The Navi Mumbai traffic police has issued alternative routes for commuters so that they do not face traffic congestion and traffic jams during Ganesh festival. Ganesh Utsav is one of the most celebrated festival of the city. This time is also a challenge for the Navi Mumbai traffic police to maintain traffic discipline in the city. This year, the department has brought some changes in the routes to avoid traffic jams. To know about the changes in the route, vehicle drivers can contact their local traffic department. The department is also making use of SMS to inform the people about the routes. From 19 August to 23 August, heavy vehicles are prohibited from using the NH 4 Dhansar and Kolkha route, NH 4 Bypass Kalamboli circle to Uran and NH 17 Palaspe Phata to Karnala route. from 24th August to 4 September the heavy vehicles will be allowed to ply on the route only after 12 midnight to 6 in the morning. with cameraperson Roshan Hate, Anil More for NMTV News.
