Senior NCP leaders arrived in Navi Mumbai for last minute campaigning of their candidate Dr. Sanjeev Naik in Navi Mumbai. It’s rare that one hears former Home Minister R R Patil speaking aggressive and vehemently against his detractors. That is why when R R Patil spoke at Airoli while campaigning for Dr. Sanjeev Naik it did not miss anyone. Attacking the rival candidate, R R Patil said that any candidate or representative of a political party should be someone who makes you proud not someone who makes you bend your head in shame. R R Patil said that the Shiv Sena had given candidature to Vijay Chougule – a candidate who should have been in jail. He said that the Shiv Sena had insulted the voters by giving candidature to Vijay Chougule. R R Patil also attacked L K Advani and Narendra Modi and appealed to public to keep communal parties out of power and vote for secular party. The rally in Airoli also saw the participation of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik, Jeetendra Awhad and Navi Mumbai Congress Chief Namdeo Bhagat. And following the rally in Airoli, Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik and other arrived for the rally in Koperkhairane. The leader along with MLA Shashikant Shinde and others addressed the crowd here. Today the final day of campaigning saw State Finance Minister and NCP leader Dilip Walse Patil addressing the Mathadis at APMC Market. Addressing the crowd he stated that it was because of NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar that the employment-guarantee scheme had received a grand boost. He further added that he along with his party workers were visiting societies urging voters to vote on April 20 and not leave for their native place.
