NCP’s manifesto was recently made public at the hands of NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar at NCP Bhavan in Mumbai. At this time, Sharad Pawar also launched the party’s campaigning website. Speaking to the media, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar accepted that he was going to attend a rally at Bhubaneshwar but due to some technical defaults, his tour was not successful. However, he also informed that very soon he would be traveling to Orissa for the election campaigning. Commenting on the criticism by many Congress leaders over his visit to the Bhubaneshwar rally, he stated that he did not require any permission or advice for his decisions. Speaking in detail about the issue, he stated that from the very beginning NCP had demanded to the UPA to make a common agenda which was not acceptable by the Congress and that is why now every party had the right to take their own decisions. He also stated that if after the elections, the UPA does not get a satisfactory victory then they could also join hands with other secular factions.
