The in fighting between NCP’s Pratap Sarnaik and Jitendra Ahwad has come out in the open. Speaking to the press Pratap Sarnaik lashed out at Jitendra Ahwad and announced that he would form a separate party in Thane. Pratap Sarnaik is an old player at politics in Thane. With over 22 years of political career. He had joined Sharad Pawar’s NCP during its establishments. But over the years his relations with party colleague Jitendra Ahwad has soured. And when Jitendra Ahwad took charge of NCP Thane President’s post and started giving all the key posts in Thane to his men, Pratap Sarnaik went into attacking mode and blamed Ahwad for biased behaviour. According to sources, once good friends Sarnaik and Ahwad parted ways when talks of Vasant Daukhare confidante Hanumant Jagdale taking charge as TMC’s Opposition leader started surfacing despite Sarnaik’s opposition to this. Sarnaik believes that Hanumant Jagdale has always been a rebel and such a key post should not be given to him. The incident has exposed that all is not well with the NCP in Thane. Looks like NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar’s recent speech in a NCP party meet urging members to work united for the upcoming elections has not reached the Thane where the NCP is breaking into several factions.
