NERUL POLICE ALLEGEDLY HARASSES HANDICAP WOMAN TO VACATE HER APARTMENT

nerul-policeNeeta Shamrao Kamble, a resident of sector 1 Nerul and a physically challenged has alleged harassment by a resident of Uran Mr. Mujavar. She has alleged that Mujavar was trying to take over her residence which is in the name of her husband, by showing fake documents. The story of this woman with disability is a tragic reflection of a apathetic system. Living with her two children and father at Sector 1 Nerul’s NL 4 / 2 / 12, Neeta Shyamrao Kamble alleges that she had kept the original documents of her apartment with her relative Ramchandra Kamble who works with BEST. She alleges that Kamble illegally transferred the apartment in his name and sold it to a third person Mr Mujavar who lives in Uran. And now, Mr. Mujavar is taking help of the Nerul police to forcefully evacuate the apartment. She made some serious allegations that the police were a part of the conspiracy of making her homeless that was causing her mental and emotional trauma and harassment. And the allegations that Neeta is making is with reason as NMTV News witnessed how officials from the Nerul Police Station waited outside Neeta’s apartment to make her leave the apartment but since the police saw the media and Neeta did not open the door of the apartment the police returned. However, the investigating officer at Nerul Police Station PI Y R Galdhar says that the Neeta was illegally occupying the apartment. He added that she had never come to lodge a FIR. In her fight to attain justice, local corporator Santosh Shetty has been supporting her. The distressed father of Neeta says that is they are continued to be harassed like this, the family will have no option but to commit suicide. Though there are various reservations and benefits given to person with disabilities under the law, the Nerul Police instead of supporting Neeta on humanitarian grounds is allegedly lobbying to make Neeta, her aged father and children come out on the roads.
