Maharashtra State Tourism dept. and Indian govt. Tourism dept. have kept a month long camp in Mumbai. the camp will begin on first September. The announcement was made in a press conference by Joyous Shankaran, the Additional Principal Secretary of the State Tourism Dept. After the state scrapped the Jhunka Bakar scheme, the same seem to be the fate of MCGM Jhunka Bakar. However, the Shiv Sena and BJP have planned to revive the scheme under the new name Ann Data scheme. Chief Minster Vilasrao Deshmukh come out in favor of supporting the drive of changing nameplates of shops to Marathi. The CM’s statement might now give a new enthusiasm to MNS party workers. The first mobile library was inaugurated recently in Mumbai. the library will provide facilities for students of rural Maharashtra and other districts where there is a lack of library and hence students find it difficult to study from books they need.
