NGO PERFORMS DOLLS WEDDING TO MAKE STUDENTS AWARE OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF MARRIAGE IN THE “LIVE IN RELATIONSHIP” AGE

A marriage ceremony was held in Thane. This marriage ceremony was not just any wedding but the marriage of gudda and guddi – two dolls. The wedding was held by an NGO to spread the significance of marriage in the “Live In Relationship” Age. Dolls, while are played by children, here held great significance for reviving the tradition of India. In India, marriages are crucial for providing a safe place supervised by adults where children can grow up into adults in a nurturing atmosphere. Our ancestors created the institution of marriage in which two adults of opposite sex formally tie the knot in a socially and legally accepted and enduring bond that is meant to last an entire lifetime. In today’s day and age, Live In relationship is a popular concept. The foremost among these is the freedom that one gets and that there is no need to surrender any rights or accept any obligations. However, with the younger generation moving towards this concept, it is necessary to imbibe in people the need of marriage and its significance in India. Hence, an NGO held a wedding ceremony of the gudda and guddi that is two dolls, to signify the importance of marriage. The dolls were married in the complete traditional style and custom. Present were students and their parents so that they can be made aware of the significance of marriage in the Live In relationship Age. From Thane, Manoj Singh for NMTV News.
