In a recent survey held by NMMC in its civic schools, out of the 28000 students 1390 were found to be physically weak. Hence, NMMC along with Lions Club International have sought treatment for these students. The percentage of economically weak students in NMMC schools is more as compared to private schools. With many families living hand to mouth, providing medical treatment for these students also becomes difficult. Like it’s said if you feel healthy you perform healthy. Keeping this in mind NMMC Education department surveyed 28000 students studying in its civic schools. Amongst these 1390 students were found physically weak, some had defects in their eyes and hearing. NMMC joined hands with Lions Club International where a medical camp was held for these students under the Sarv Sikshan Abhiyaan. Lions N R Permeswaran, the Intl. PRO of Lions Club International spoke to us about the aim of joining hands with NMMC. Several NMMC officials were also present on the occasion.
