With the aim of promoting reading habits, knowledge and awareness amongst elders as well as children, NMMC has started a hi tech library at Turbhe. There are around 4137 books that the library houses, reports Monika Bhosale. Navi Mumbai is a fast progressing city and the NMMC’s addition of this new library is indeed welcomed by the people. It maybe recalled that NMMC had started a grand library in CBD Belapur. Following this, the library at Turbhe has started and many more are likely to come up in other nodes of the city. This advanced library at Turbhe comprimes of books like fiction, non-fiction, educational books and many others. Around 96 people have taken membership of this library where the deposit is Rs 175 out of which Rs. 150 would be refunded. Rs. 5 is for the admission fees and a monthly fees of Rs. 20 is taken. And it cannot be ignored that with the futuristic vision of NMMC Commissioner Vijay Nahata, this library is here to service all.
