The Navi Mumbai Fire Brigade and Maharashtra State’s security dept. held a demonstration and awareness drive for fire safety at Yashashree Housing Complex at sector 1, Sanpada. The fire safety officials educated the women of the society about the precautions and measures they should take to avoid cases of gas leakage from LPG cylinders. Women were told the reasons due to which leakage happens and how to effectively tackle if there is a leakage of the LPG. Besides this, the residents were also given information on how to tackle fire on a primary level if it occurred in any of the flats. The fire official heading the demonstration and awareness workshop informed NMTV News the benefits of the demonstration. Maharashtra State’s Security Dept.’s Dilip Chauhan gave an insight on the various reasons for leakage on LPG cylinders. The Secretary of the complex informed about the benefits of the program. It was the residents of this society who invited the Navi Mumbai Fire Brigade and Maharashtra State’s security dept. to hold this demonstration and awareness drive. This is indeed an opportunity for residents of the city, particularly those living in high rises as they too can approach the Navi Mumbai Fire Brigade and undergo this awareness drive.
