Reeling under dire conditions for many years, NMMC has finally decided to repair the roads at Kopri village. Approved in the recent Standing Committee meet, the project would be completed at a cost of Rs 90 lakhs. Situated close to one of the most prominent nodes of Navi Mumbai Vashi, Kopri village while has a population of a lakh is deprived of many basic facilities. Take a look at this road. The pathetic condition of the road is nothing new. Already disappointed with the false assurances given by corporators and public representatives, the locals in the area are not yet accepting that the road would indeed be repaired. The road at sector 26 of Kopri village is reeling under pathetic conditions for which the NMMC has recently approved to repair. The contract has been handed over to Yashraj Enterprises at a cost of Rs 80 lakhs 21417. Under the Gaothan Vistaar scheme the internal roads of sector 26 and Kopri village would be developed which is to be completed in 4 months. While the locals are frustrated with the failure of their local corporator Vilas Bhoir for failing to tackle civic issue, the decision has brought some relief to the locals.
