NMTV EDITOR-IN-CHIEF RAVI SUBBAIAH WINS GALILEAN INTERNATIONAL AWARD FOR HIS ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE SOCIETY

international-award-3Time to share some good news with our viewers. NMTV Editor-in-Chief Ravi Subbaiah has won the Galilean International Award for making NMTV a forum to work for social causes. The award was conferred on him during a ceremony at the St. Andrew’s Auditorium at Bandra. Amidst cheers and a standing ovation at St. Andrew’s Auditorium, NMTV Editor-in-Chief Ravi Subbaiah was conferred the Special Jury Award at the Galilean International Films & Television Services Awards 2008. A galaxy of dignitaries who graced the ceremony included AICC General Secretary Magaret Alva, comedian Johnny Lever, Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission Co Chairman Abraham Mathai and CMD of Pijikay Group of Companies Gul Kriplani and actress Nagma. Ravi Subbaiah was awarded the Special Jury award for his achievements and contribution to society despite the challenges he faced as polio afflicted from the age of 3. The jury recognized the hardships overcome by Ravi Subbaiah to make a mark in the media industry and making NMTV – the only state recognized local cable news station, both having over 500 employees. As the President of the Handicap Welfare Association, he has brought about solutions and support to persons with disabilities. The NGO is actively fighting for the rights of persons with disabilities. The Galilean International Award is the Oscars promoted by the Christian Media. It is an attempt to encourage and honor the exemplary work, creativity and excellence in communicating messages of love, universal peace and harmony to the world informed Founder President Dr. C. D.
