Taking cognizance of the news report telecasted by NMTV News, in a significant order, the High court has directed the state government and MSEDC to discontinue load shedding in classrooms during the board examinations of X and XII. The order comes in wake of a PIL filed by social activist Vishnu Gavli where he presented a CD of the news telecasted by NMTV as evidence. While it might be little relief for those who are almost on the end of their tests, it definitely is all good news for the other students who begin there tests in the neat future. Taking up the issue of load shedding during board examinations, NMTV News had aired a report on the inconvenience caused to the X and XII students due to power cuts. Raking up this issue, social activist Vishnu Gavli, approached the High Court and presented the news CD telecasted by your channel as evidence to the major inconvenience caused to students. He also raised the fact that MSEDC provides uninterrupted electricity to shopping malls and multiplexes while the students have to face the brunt of power cuts. He also stated that despite the crisis, MSEDC was selling power to Reliance. In lieu of the NMTV News CD presented by Vishnu Gavli in court, the latter has ordered the state government and MSEDC to discontinue load shedding in schools during examinations.
