NOW DELHI MAY NOT BE FAR FOR THE FIRST MAYOR WHO WILL FILE NOMINATION AS NCP CANDIDATE FOR BY LOK SABHA ELECTIONS FROM THANE – BELAPUR CONSTITUENCY

Sanjeeevanaik-2Creating history has been a thing with first Mayor Sanjeev Naik who has been nominated by NCP President Sharad Pawar as their candidate for the by elections of the Thane Belapur constituency that fell vacant after the demise of Sena’s Prakash Paranjpe. Sanjeev Naik is considered as the lucky mascot of the party and the NCP believes that they will break the recent years of Sena victory in this particular constituency. More than the NCP, Navi Mumbai wants that their resident candidate represent the constituency hitherto. And if we take a look at the over a decade political experience of Sanjeev Naik, this might not be tough. Sanjeev Naik served as Navi Mumbai Mayor from 2000 to 2005. The highlight for his first term was the starting of the NMMT bus services in the city and in his second term he acquired the Morbe Dam to ensure 24 hours water supply for the city for the coming several decades. He continues to work with greater sense of purpose to meet the demands of a futuristic global city with political will and commitment. Introducing the mono rail and the water transport services for the city is presently top on his priority running parallel to ensuring undisputed leadership for the party in the forthcoming assembly election. Party workers in the region were inspired by the untiring, hard work round the clock with a defiant determination, ignoring all physical stress and strain and substituting the same with mental and moral commitment to wrest political power to serve the people. Now with him gearing up to file nominations for the Thane Belapur constituency, looks like Delhi is not far for Sanjeev Naik either. And if political gurus pre election analysis is any indication, Navi Mumbai first mayor is all to represent the city in the corridors of power at the Centre. Sana Warsia – NMTV.
