The supplementary demands presented during the discussion of the budget at the on going state session were passed by the state without any voting. The opposition voiced protest. It was a practice to vote for the supplementary demands brought to the assembly by the member before passing them during the budget session. The ruling front however has sort of scrapped this for the last three years. It continued the same this year when the supplementary proposals of members were approved by the state without putting them for vote. This year the opposition has asked for bringing the proposals in front of the Governor but the latter was in Delhi. So the state once again passed the supplementary proposals without putting them for vote. Objecting to the same, the opposition party walked off the state assembly and raised slogans. They opposition sat in front of Vidhan Bhavan in an over night protest. BJP leader Eknath Khadse too accepted that the approval of the proposal without voting was unfair.
