In his recent visit to the APMC Market in Navi Mumbai, Minister for Co-operation, Relief and Rehabilitation Dr. Patangrao Kadam have declared some special schemes for farmers of the state who are battling the dry spell that has affected their irrigational land. Minister for Co-operation, Relief and Rehabilitation Dr. Patangarao Kadam recently visited the APMC market at Navi Mumbai and heard the problems of the merchants and traders. He assured that resolution for their problems would be sought at the earliest. According to statistics, the dry spell faced in the state is worst than that of 1972. With the farmers yield like that of rice and pulses destroying due to no rain, Dr. Patangrao Kadam has announced some special schemes for these affected farmers. There are around 220 talukas and 26 districts in the state which are affected by the dry spell and the state’s decision is likely to bringsome relief to the farmers.
