PEOPLE’S WELFARE ASSOCIATION TAKE TO STREETS FOR HINDI AND URDU SCHOOL AT NERUL

wel-fare1For the past 5-6 years, Navi Mumbai People’s Welfare Association has been demanding the establishment of a Hindi and Urdu school at Nerul which has been ignored by NMMC. Intensifying their demands, the association had taken out a morcha in front of the NMMC headquarters. Looking at the nonchalant attitude of the NMMC administration towards the demand of the Navi Mumbai People’s Welfare Association for constructing a Hindi and Urdu medium school in Nerul, the latter took to streets and presented their demands in front of NMMC headquarters. With their demands going unheard for the last 5 years, the association met with NMMC Additional Commissioner Dr. Sanjay Pattiwar to press their demands. The President of the association spoke with Navi Mumbai News about their demands. He expressed his disappointment against the working of the NMMC Education department and stated that if their demands were not met within 15 days, then they would further intensify their protest.
