PM Modi Pays Condolences To Raigad Tragedy Victims

In an early morning tragedy in Raigad, 32 passengers are feared dead as a private bus carrying students and employees of Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli fell in a gorge.

The accident happened at the 500 feet deep gorge at Ambenali ghat area in Poladpur in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.

They were travelling to Mahabaleshwar. At the time of filing this report, rescue teams were removing the bodies of the dead.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolence. The tweet of the PM Office read “Pained by the loss of lives due to a bus accident in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. My condolences to those who lost their loved ones: PM @narendramodi”

Chief Minister Devendra Fadavnis also tweeted his condolences and said that a team was in place to be with the tragedy victims families. He tweeted, “Pained to know about the loss of lives in Mahabaleshwar bus accident.Administration taking all efforts to provide required assistance. Senior officials&emergency management systems in place. My thoughts are with families who lost loved ones&prayers for speedy recovery of injured.”
