POLICE AND MCGM SHOULD WORK TOGETHER TO PREVENT BABY THEFTS IN CIVIC HOSPITALS – SAY ACTIVISTS

mcgm-In the wake of the theft of a baby from a civic hospital in Mumbai, BJP leader Shaina NC said that MCGM and the police must work jointly on security to prevent such cases. Shaina, along with party workers, met acting municipal commissioner Ashish Singh and few police officials, with regard to security of new borns at civic-run hospitals in the city. After the Sion baby theft case, Bombay high court had suggested several measures including installing CCTV cameras, computerised biometrics system to record footprints, fingerprints and birthmarks and authorised female visitor must be given a valid hospital pass to be allowed into maternity ward.
