POLICE CLAIMS TO RECOVER CAR USED FOR AIROLI ROBBERY ABANDONED AT KOPRI VILLAGE

The Rabale police seized the vehicles in which the robbers had arrived at the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-op Bank with the intention of robbing the bank. Though the police refused to divulge any information on camera, sources at the police station did confirm that the report of finding the vehicle from Kopri village at Vashi. The ill-fated attempt to robbery at Punjab and Maharahstra Co-op Bank that killed a Rabale PSI a fortnight ago was not executed in a black Honda City or so say the police now. On the day of the crime the police had misinformed the media that the robbers had arrived at the bank in a black Honda City number being MH 12 CK 7469 but further investigations revealed that this registration number belonged to a FIAT car from Pune. Now the police have seized a vehicle from Kopri village. The Ford standing at the Rabale Police Station, number being MH 12 C 4269, the police claim is the vehicle that the robbers came in and later abandoned in Kopri village. When no one came for the vehicle for days, locals of the village informed the police about the abandoned vehicle. Even after the Commissionerates Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane supported by the SIT vigorously investigating the case, the robbers are still absconding, which questions the ability and capability of our security forces.
