A Seminar on ‘Police-Public Cooperation’ was held at the Gaurav Dnyati Hall, Vashi by Conscious Citizen Forum along with the Navi Mumbai Police. The seminar was an appeal to the public to cooperate with the police in order to eliminate terrorism and violence the country. The seminar was organised by Conscious Citizen Forum along with the Navi Mumbai Police. The seminar started with an invocation followed by a two-minute silent tribute to the terror victims. Dr Surendra, the seminar coordinator, gave a welcome address to the audience and the chief guest ACP (Zone I) Purushottam Karad. In his speech, he spoke about various ways through which public can support the police in maintaining peace and tranquility in society. Dr. Arvind Tiwari, professor of Tata Institute of Social Science and the guest of the seminar shed more light on the issue of public cooperating with the police. He spoke about various problems and pressures that the police have to go through and the kind of response they get from the people. He emphasized the point that police cannot do their best until and unless people give their full support by providing them needed information.
