The fight and tossing of allegations of corruption during elections has begun in Panvel where the Congress has made some serious allegations of corruption on the Panchayat Samiti ruled by PWP. Even as the PWP has refuted all the allegations, what’s unfortunate is that Panvel candidates seem to be more focused on maligning the image of each party candidate than talking about the progress and development of Panvel. G R Patil who defected from the PWP to join the Congress a month back has made some serious allegations of Crores of corruption in the panchyat samiti ruled by the PWP. Making some more serious allegations, G R Patil said that the corruption was done with the help of MLA Vivek Patil and PWP candidate from Panvel region Balaram Patil. He said that Congress will file a police case against the corruption soon. G R Patil alleged that MLA Vivek Patil and Balaram Patil had conspired to book him under cases and declare him a rebel, that’s why he defected to the Congress. When NMTV News met the Chairman of the Panchayat Samiti Kashinath Patil, he said that these allegations were only a political gimmick during elections. He added that the corruption is only an outcome of miscommunication and mis-coordination between the samiti and the government. On the other hand, Balaram Patil said that these accusations and allegations are common and that’s why the PWP does not take it seriously. However, will check the irregularities and work on them. Its rather unfortunate that instead of taking up the issue of progress and development of Panvel, all candidates and all political parties are only indulging in blame game and tossing allegations.
