POSTAL STAFF QUARTERS SECRETARY TO APPROACH HIGH COURT AGAINST POST OFFICE APATHY

It has been nearly five years the postal staff quarters residents at sector 16 Vashi are waiting for post office authorities to take notice of the deplorable condition of the building but unfortunately these residents are living in one of the most pathetic conditions. This staff quarters was built some 35 years ago in sector 16 Vashi. Around ten years ago, the building started decaying and today the residents fear that the building, due to its pathetic condition, could collapse any moment. Most flats have developed cracks and suffer from leakage problems. The worst of all is the sewerage pipe outside the building which is in such a dilapidated condition that it has broken down and sewerage water is accumulated outside the building. The secretary of the staff quarters building, Shyam Sunder Sawant had sent various complaints to the post office authorities but assurances received were only limited to paper and no action was taken.
