PROTEST RALLIES FOR WATER CRISIS CONTINUE IN THE CITY

inder-nager-Recently, MIDC has damaged water connections that NMMC had installed at Indira Nagar, Turbhe claiming it to be illegal. Agitated women took to streets and gheraoed the MIDC office in protest. It had been just three months when NMMC had installed the water connections at Indira Nagar, Turbhe when the MIDC officials damaged it stating that it was illegal. Frustrated locals especially women of Indira Nagar took out a morcha at the MIDC office. Trying to catch the other side of the story, our correspondent also spoke with the Deputy Engineer of MIDC, S P Ahwad It may be recalled that it is not just the residents of Indira Nagar but locals of Hanuman Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar & Ganesh nagar are facing severe water shortage.
