The NMMC Rabale School is slowly evolving to a school par excellence in municipal corporations across the state. Another feather was added in the hat of its features when Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik inaugurated the science lab at the Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj School at Rabale, reports Shilpa Suryavanshi It’s a known fact that Municipal Corporation schools often lack in amenities, but in this row, Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj School of NMMC at Rabale has proved itself exception and much credit for this goes to the local corporator Sudhakar Sonawane. This school has well developed playground and garden which is unheard of in corporation schools. In order to bring these slum children on the vanguard of technology and science, neighboring Dow Chemical International Private Ltd. donated a science lab to this NMMC School No. 55. The lab was inaugurated at the hands of Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik. The lab is well equipped and will benefit at large to the surrounding slum children who study in this school. Sandeep Naik said that there are provisions made by NMMC and said over a period of time the contribution of corporate world would be of help. The Dow Director aired his view that this gift of lab is a small endeavor. Local corporator Sudhakar Sonawane shared that from beginning he had vision to upgrade this school. Providing such facilities to the downtrodden of the society must be the priority of our government and corporate world and in that direction this public and private utilities have set an example.
