Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu announces Wi-Fi power to 8 suburban stations in Mumbai

Inaugurating various passenger amenities, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Monday briefed the media about major ongoing railway projects and informed about the futuristic plans for betterment of the Mumbai suburban section of both Western Railway and Central Railway.

Prabhu inaugurated hi-speed Wi-Fi services at eight railway stations of Mumbai namely at Kalyan, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Dadar (Western Railway and Central Railway), Bandra Terminus, Bandra, Churchgate and Khar Road stations.

Prabhu also dedicated Central Railway’s 12-car Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) services on Harbour line, two new 12-coach platforms for harbour line, and two lifts at Andheri.
