RAMDAS ATHAVLE DEMANDAS RAJ TAHCKAREY BE BOOKED UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT

ramdas-2While the Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh government is attempting to prove to Delhi that all is well in Maharashtra post the Raj Thackeray episode, the Shiv Sena has backed off from supporting the state while RPI All India President Ramdas Athavle has demanded that MNS Chief Raj Thackeray be booked under the National Security Act. It may be recalled that Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had written a strict letter to Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on the way the state handled the Raj Thackeray episode. As an answer to the letter and to prove to Delhi that all is well, Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh called for an all party meeting. However, looks like the Chief Minister isn’t successful in pulling this stunt. This is because where on side the Shiv Sena and BJP have decided to boycott this attempt on the other hand RPI President and MP Ramdas Athavle has demanded that MNS Chief Raj Thackeray be booked under the National Security Act. On the other hand, State Opposition Leader Ramdas Kadam says that when they have always been raising protest against the poor law and order situation in Maharashtra, how they could change their stance in front of the Prime Minister. The North Indian issue has completely maligned the secular image of Maharashtra and despite Chief Minister VRD trying desperately to clean the mess; even his latest attempt has backfired.
