forest-landThe central empowerment committee of the Supreme Court has reportedly said it would formally recommend to the court that all construction that had come up before June 22, 2005 be treated on par and be “de-reserved once and for all” on payment of afforestation charges. It’s a development that will bring cheer to about 4.5 lakh Mumbaikars whose houses are situated on forest land.
