RESIDENTS DECORATE THE CITY WITH RANGOLI TO HONOR RENOWNED SOCIAL WORKER LATE DR. NANASAHEB DHARMADHIKARI

With the visit of renowned social worker late Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari’s son Dattatray to Kharghar for receiving the Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar being awarded to his father, Dharmadhikari’s followers made rangolis at prominent junctions of the city. More than 20 lakh people are expected to be present at the open ground opposite Central Park in Kharghar, the venue chosen for awarding renowned social worker late Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari with state’s highest award ‘Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar.’ Renowned social worker late Dr Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari, a spiritual guru devoted his life teaching his followers that doing one’s duty honestly was the best way to worship the God. He used Ramdas Swami’s teachings in ‘Das-bodh’ as a medium. He was known for his social service in Raigad district. His followers have lined up intricate designs of rangolis at major junctions of the city to honor him. Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil will be present at the ceremony. Dr Dharmadhikari’s son Dattatray will receive the award.
