This area has a population of around 15 to 20 lakh people but with acute water shortage, sometimes the residents had to use the gutter water for their daily activities. However thanks to NMMC a water tank has been inaugurated at Indiranagar which is welcomed by the residents. It maybe recalled that many a times residents had taken to streets to protest against water shortage and the women residents of Hanuman Nagar had even gheraoed Mayor Anjani Bhoir in one of their protests.
