While Mumbai city will face water cuts for two days, there is acute water shortage being already felt at Saiwadi of Karave village in Nerul. Residents have complained that they have to go through very tough times to get their daily work done. The population of Karave village is approx. 12000 where NMMC has been supplying water for the last many years. Residents have complained that while they do get water supply, there are times when the taps are dry for two to three days at a stretch making it very difficult for them to get their daily work done. They have no option but to walk miles to get water supply. However, the local corporator of the area, Eknath Tandel is seen tossing the blame at the residents itself and have held the locals responsible for water shortage. It is to be noted that NMMC supplies around 18 lakhs litre of water in this village but the residents yet have to face water shortage. With cameraperson Ravi Nikam, Shailendra Upadhyay for NMTV News.
