The problems of rickshaws due to lack of CNG stations reached the weekly janta darbar of Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik who has assured a joint meeting of the concerned departments at Mantralaya soon to bring about a solution. Rickshaw unions have been constantly raising the issues of lack of CNG stations in Navi Mumbai. There was much relief after the first CNG Station came up at the sector 14, Vashi petrol pump due to the efforts of MLC Manda Mhatre but looks like it wasn’t enough. As a result rickshaw unions this time round decided to meet Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik at the weekly janta darbar. They appealed to the Minister to moot more CNG Stations for Navi Mumbai. Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik has assured to look into the matter soon by convening a joint meeting of all the concerned departments at Mantralaya soon. The reason for the CNG issue is because the local administration has not been able to get the railway NOC to lay pipes near the Kalwa bridge – an issue the guardian minister has promised to solve soon.
