Not even a day after the robbery of National Co-operative Bank had passed when another robbery was reported from Nerul where four unidentified person looted jewelry worth Rs 50000 from Surbhi jewelers at sector 3, Nerul. The robbers looted that shop despite two employees who were sleeping in the shop. The shop owner blamed the lack of police patrolling due to which there was such a high rise in loots in the area. A meeting was held by the Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Ramrao Wagh along with the jewellery shop owners of Vashi and Nerul to increase security arrangements & install advance security equipments, which the jewelers failed to implement.
