The Kalamboli Digha pipeline project completed by Pratibha Industries has come under the scanner. Earlier it was the media persons that have raised concern on the irregularity of the project and now the ruling front corporators themselves are pointing fingers at Pratibha Industries and they too are now taking the aid of the media to make their voice heard. This is NCP corporator Ashok Patil and he is standing near the water tank that is being constructed by Pratibha Industries. According to Ashok Patil, the iron fencing used for the construction work were dipped in water for the last four months and have rusted now. He further alleged that the blasting activities of the hill that was carried out by Pratibha Industries for the construction of the water tank had left cracks in the houses of the nearby Agroli village. He said that he had complaint against the industries time and again to NMMC officers but no heed was paid then. Now we show you the visuals of the rusted pipelines through which your city is supplied with water. Looking at these rusted pipelines, you can understand how the additional funds given by NMMC for zinc-resistant pipes are greasing pockets of money. When we tried to contact NMMC officials and wake them up from their slumber, they refused to speak to us on camera. While NMMC might cover up its back by coloring the pipelines on the ground what would it do about those pipelines which are already underneath and rusting at gods speed. Probably NMMC would wake up to Pratibha Industries irregularities only after a few years when the pipelines would be on the verge of crumpling and the city residents would get contaminated water in their taps.
