RUMOURS OF BOMB IN TRAIN REPORTED FROM PANVEL

bomb-1It was fear and terror amongst the commuters of Panvel railway station when rumors of a bomb were reported from a local train here. An unknown person had informed that a bomb was planted in Anarkulam Express which had reached the station but an aggressive search revealed that the report was false. The commuters of the train 6337-38 named Anarkulam Express had no idea why their train was being searched. Central Railways came to know about this rumor around 7.30 in the evening that a bomb was planted in one of the boogies of this train headed towards Gujarat. When it reached the Panvel station at 9.35, the train was searched. The search went for an hour which included three dogs, RPF, city police and GRP. Details about the search were given by the ACP of GRP. While the train was allowed to leave the station after no bomb was found, the ACP was still hesitant in commenting that the train was secure. Admitting that there was a shortage of workers in such kind of searches, he stated that the state should increase the force here. We also spoke with the commuters on the train.
