swamiSanyasta Jwalamukhi is a play based on the inspiring life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. This play was staged at TMC’s Children’s Theatre with the aim of spreading Swamiji’s message among youngsters. Swami Vivekanand was the first Indian who gave recognition to Hinduism on the world map. Sanyasta Jwalamukhi is a play that unfolds the life of Vivekananda. The scintillating transformation from a talented, willful youth Naren Dutta, Swamiji’s original name, to Swami Vivekananda was presented by Konkan Kala Academy at TMC Children’s Theater. Sangram Samel, a theater actor from Thane, did full justice to Swamiji’s role with his dialogue delivery, effortless gestures and expressions. The team of this play comprises majority of Thaneites. The play is based on Professor Dhavan’s novel titled Narendra Te Vivekanand. The script of Sanyasta Jwalamukhi has been written by Ashok Samel, a well-known theatre expert from Thane, who even directed the play. The only thing that perhaps could have been worked upon is the length of the play. Had some scenes been edited efficiently, the play would have been tighter and more concise.
