The state government has decided that it will not issue licenses to multiplexes, malls, hotels, hospitals, temple trusts, and commercial and industrial establishments in Mumbai if they fail to submit a comprehensive security plan. Existing establishments applying for renewal of license will have to give similar plans of the security arrangements. The decision was taken by the state Home Minister R R Patil in a meeting held to take stock of security arrangements in the state. The State Home Ministry wants that the police should have each and every detail of the security arrangements of the vital locations in the city. This meeting of senior bureaucrats and top police officials was held in Mantralaya. The security arrangement plan submitted to the government will be studied by the security agency. If required the government will suggest some changes or may even ask to increase the security. This step by the government will ensure better coordination and a plan to fight any attack.
