The fourth edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair was recently inaugurated at the hands of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. During his inaugural speech, Shaikh Sultan expressed the need to focus on culture, literature and knowledge, while speaking on the ongoing destruction plaguing the Arab World.
Speaking with NMTV’s Sana Warsia, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation and Sharjah Media Centre said, “Over the years, the Sharjah International Book Fair had gained its own reputation with the kind of international books and documentaries displayed here. This year many international authors are also being a part of this international fair which is an added advantage”.
