In a major show of strength on the streets of Mumbai, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thakcrey led a Shiv Sena morcha to demand the sons of the soil should be given preference over allocation of Mhada homes. With assembly elections round the corner, the sena has been re-heating the bhoomi putra agenda, to win back its Marathi vote-bank, which diaplyed a marked preference to the Raj Thakcrey led MNS in Mumbai in the recent Lok Sabha polls. The morcha began from the Mahim fort and reached the MHADA HQ in Bandra. Addressing the partymen, Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav thackrey warned MHADA and the powerful builder lobby to stop playing havoc with Mumbai and honor the Marathi Mumbaikar’s claim in the city’s development.
