Shiv Sena praises PM Modi in a new Saamana editorial, says his speech US lawmakers “overwhelmed”

BJP’s reluctant ally Shiv Sena has praised PM Modi in a new Saamana editorial, saying his speech at Capitol Hill had left US lawmakers “overwhelmed”. On a lighter note, it also wondered whether Modi’s “deep friendship” with Obama meant the President and his family would move to India after his term ends early 2017.
“No other Indian PM would have got so much love from an American President in the past,” it added. “The American lawmakers mobbed Modi for selfies and autographs. Modi gets a warm and royal reception when he visits a foreign country. The entire world nods in approval when he says that India is undergoing a transformation. The world has begun to treat India with respect and Modi made this possible through hard work,” Saamana said.
“Mr (Donald) Trump makes fun of Indians for their English accent. However, Modi made an ‘Indian’ and US lawmakers gave him a standing ovation,” it added.
