The Sikh community gathered in huge numbers at the CBD Police Station demanding the arrest of the accused in the alleged kidnap and murder case of a transporter. CBD resident Major Singh’s uncle Balwinder Singh Bhatti was kidnapped from his residence on 27th January morning when there was just one girl in the house. Major Singh immediately reached the CBD Police Station and appealed the police to file a case against the suspects but PSI Satre Adiyal, according to the victim’s family did not take the case seriously. Major Singh even made a call to the suspect from the police station but the police still did not register a case. The worst fears of the family came true when the body of Balwinder Singh Bhatti was found at Kalamboli. The Sikh Community gathered at the CBD Police Station to protest the kidnap murder of the victim and want that action be taken against PSI Satre Adiyal for not registering the complaint of the victim’s family and failing to take action against the accused – transporter Bhoota Singh. Since the case involves the jurisdiction of two police stations, the police failed to file a FIR even after 8 hours of the incident. The case is making the Sikh community furious against the Belapur police. The community is traumatized and wants justice at the earliest.
