The Samajwadi Party has stated that the selection of SP leader and MLA Abu Asim Azmi’s son Farhan Azmi for the by elections for the Bhiwandi east assembly constituency was the people’s choice. The party has expressed utmost confidence in winning the elections from this constituency, report Dhiraj MIshra. In the recently held state assembly elections, SP leader Abu Asim Azmi stood victorious in both the seat of Govandi-Mankurd and Bhiwandi. The Bhiwandi seat was vacated by Abu Asim Azmi on getting elected from two constituencies – Mankhurd and Bhiwandi east. The SP leader preferred to keep Mankhurd and resigned from Bhiwandi east. Now by-elections are going to be held from Bhiwandi which will commence on 20th January. For this purpose, Abu Asim Azmi’s son Farhan Azmi has been fielded for the Bhiwandi constituency. Chaudhary spoke on the development of Bhiwandi which would be the election issue of the party. It is a well known fact that Abu Asim Azmi was ruling from the Bhiwandi seat for many years. Now, it would be a wait and watch that whether his son Farhar Azmi is able to bring back the seat to the Azmi family. With cameraperson Raju Sharma, Dhiraj Mishra for NMTV News.
